ACAP Comment Letter on Access to Medicaid Services
On June 30, ACAP submitted a letter to CMS Administrator Brooks-LaSure to show support, and share concerns for proposed regulation:“Ensuring Access to Medicaid Services”.
Key themes from the comment letter include:
- support of CMS’s proposal that states establish and operate a newly named Medicaid Advisory Committee (MAC) and a Beneficiary Advisory Group (BAG)
- a recommendation that CMS specify that states, rather than plans, should be responsible for overseeing and ensuring appropriate payment allocation for whatever method of demonstrating payment adequacy CMS finalizes.
